Head Pressure Tester
With the Head Load tester HP4000 force measuring instrument peak forces and force-curves can be measured in a simple way. The instrument is especially designed for the measurement of Head loads in capping machines. It simply replaces a bottle running at full speed through the process. Once complete, the HP4000 runs as a dummy bottle through the sealing process, capturing data at 500 times a second, to ensure accurate peak load measurementof the capping head.
A maximum of 9 seconds data isaccumulated, so that the force profile of the cappingprocess can be analysed on HPT-Graph software toidentify specific problem areas of the capper. Theseinclude when the sealing cone presses down on the steelband of a crown cap, or when a rolled thread is clearlyengaged—data which cannot be determined by a simplepeak-load reading.
